30 liters, 20" × 13" × 7", in polyester with at least 50% recycled fibers, with an internal laptop sleeve and an organization panel. The cheapest liter on the list. Scheels showed it out of stock when we checked. Best for: a light kit and a tight budget.
Under Armour Hustle 6.0 — about $55
29 liters, UA Storm water-repellent fabric, a laptop sleeve listed up to 16 inches, and a secondary compartment for shoes or laundry. A separate shoe space at this price is the standout. Best for: gym plus school or office with a mid-size laptop.
5.11 PT-R Daily Grind — $65

TuffWraps TUFF Pro 45L — $85
45 liters in 900D nylon with a PVC coating, a hydration bladder sleeve and five colorways. The lowest price on a 45L gym pack we found. IronBackpack Pro 45L — $99.95
45 liters, 20" × 12" × 12", 900D water-resistant polyester, YKK zippers, triple-stitched seams, a 180° clamshell opening, five compartments plus a padded compartment for laptops up to 17", MOLLE webbing, a patch panel with two patches, load-tested to 20 kg / 44 lb and a limited lifetime warranty. Best for: gym plus work with a full kit and a large laptop.
Where the IronBackpack Pro 45L loses
- It is the most expensive pack in the table. Three packs cost $65 or less.
- It is not the cheapest 45L. TuffWraps is about $15 less.
