Collection: Gym and Work Backpacks

Off-season is over. Use code IRON8 for 8% OFF sitewide + free shipping.

A gym and work backpack has to keep two loads apart: the clean one you wear to the office and the used one you bring back from training. IronBackpack 45L packs split them across separate main compartments and add a padded compartment for a laptop up to 17".

One bag from the first alarm to the last set

Two bags mean one gets left in the car, at the desk or at home. One bag works only if the sweaty half of the day never touches the clean half. That is a layout problem, and it is solved with compartments.

Quiet enough for the office

The Black Pro 45L reads as a plain work pack. Patches come off in a second. The sternum and waist straps come off too.

Bring food, skip the lunch run

If you eat at your desk, the Thermal 45L adds an insulated compartment for meal prep containers. Same size, same laptop compartment, one less bag to carry.

Frequently asked questions

Can one backpack work for both the gym and the office?

Yes, if it separates the two loads. You need a compartment for clean clothes, another for used kit, and a laptop compartment that touches neither. The IronBackpack Pro 45L has two main compartments and a padded compartment for laptops up to 17 inches, in a 45L pack.

How do I keep sweaty clothes away from work clothes?

Give each its own compartment and never swap them. Clean clothes go in one main compartment. Used clothes and shoes go in the other, with shoes inside a water-repellent shoe bag. At home, empty the used side first and leave the pack open so it dries.

Does a 45L backpack look out of place at work?

In Black, it reads as a large plain backpack. Take the patches off the hook-and-loop panel and remove the sternum and waist straps. The pack measures 20" × 12" × 12", so it fits under most desks. It is larger than a laptop bag, and it replaces two bags.

Where do toiletries go if I shower at the gym?

In a toiletry bag inside a main compartment. The IronBackpack tactical toiletry bag is water-resistant, so a leaking bottle stays inside it and not on your clothes. Keep it on the clean side on the way in, and move it to the used side after the shower.

Is a 45L backpack too big for a daily commute?

Not if you carry both loads. Training gear takes about 25 to 30L. A laptop, a charger, work clothes and food take the rest. If you only carry a laptop and a lunch, 45L is more pack than you need and a smaller bag will do.
