    A MOLLE tactical backpack has rows of webbing for pouches and a hook-and-loop panel for patches. Both let you change the pack without tools. Every IronBackpack pack and duffle has both, and ships with two patches. Add a pouch for storage. Swap a patch to mark it as yours.

    Two systems, two jobs

    MOLLE webbing is for storage. Straps on the back of a pouch weave through the webbing rows and snap shut. The pouch stays put until you unweave it.

    A hook-and-loop panel is for identity. The panel on the pack is the soft loop side. A patch carries the rough hook side. Press to attach, peel to remove.

    Nothing here is permanent. Run the pack bare for a month. Notice what you dig for most, then put that item in a pouch on the outside.

    Patches work the same way. The two in the box cover day one. Change them for a meet, a new gym or a new training block. A hook-backed patch from your own club grips the same panel.

    What is a MOLLE tactical backpack?

    It is a backpack with rows of webbing stitched to the outside, built to the MOLLE standard used on military load-carrying gear. Pouches with matching straps weave through the rows and lock in place. You add storage when you need it and remove it when you do not.

    What is the difference between MOLLE and a velcro patch panel?

    MOLLE webbing holds weight. It is for pouches and gear. A hook-and-loop panel, often called velcro, holds patches only. It grips flat items with a hook backing and is not built to carry load. IronBackpack packs have both, so you can add storage and change the look.

    Do the backpacks come with patches?

    Yes. The Pro 45L ships with a BE IRON patch and a USA flag patch. The Thermal 45L ships with an IRON BACKPACK patch and a USA flag patch. The Duffle 50L ships with a DON'T BE AVERAGE - BE IRON patch and a USA flag patch.

    Can I use my own patches on the backpack?

    Yes, if the patch has a hook backing. Any hook-backed patch grips the loop panel on the pack: gym, team, flag or custom. Patches with a plain or iron-on back will not hold. Check the patch size against the panel before you order a custom one.

    Will a MOLLE pouch from another brand fit?

    A pouch built with MOLLE-compatible straps is designed to weave onto MOLLE webbing, so it should mount. Fit still depends on the pouch size and how many rows it needs. The IronBackpack admin pouch is 8.7" × 5.3" × 2.2" and mounts with three straps.
