    Large, and still organized

    A large tactical backpack with one big hole is a bad pack. Size only helps when gear stays where you put it. These packs split 45L across five compartments and open flat, so the bottom of the bag is as easy to reach as the top.

    The fabric is 900D water-resistant, rip-proof polyester with triple-stitched seams. Sternum and waist straps adjust and come off. They matter once the pack passes 10 kg.

    Two bottle holders on the sides take 750 ml bottles or shakers, so liquids ride outside the main compartments and away from the laptop.

    How big is a 45L backpack?

    The IronBackpack Pro 45L measures 20" × 12" × 12", or 51 × 30.5 × 30.5 cm. On most people it runs from the shoulders to the lower back. It holds a full set of training gear, a change of clothes, food and a laptop up to 17 inches at the same time.

    Is a 45L backpack carry-on size?

    It depends on the airline and how full you pack it. The pack is 20" × 12" × 12". Many US airlines list 22" × 14" × 9" for carry-ons, so height and width fit and depth is over when the pack is stuffed. Pack it flatter and check your airline's sizer.

    Is 45L too big for everyday use?

    Not if you carry for two parts of the day. Training gear alone fills about 25 to 30L. A laptop, a charger and a meal take the rest. If your daily load is a laptop and a jacket, 45L is more pack than you need.

    How much weight can a 45L backpack carry?

    The Pro 45L is load-tested to 20 kg / 44 lb. Seams are triple-stitched and the zippers are YKK. Use the sternum strap and the waist strap once the load gets heavy. They move weight off your shoulders and stop the pack from swinging when you walk fast.

    What is the difference between the Pro 45L and the Thermal 45L?

    Same size, same 17-inch laptop compartment, same 180° opening. The Thermal 45L adds an insulated compartment for meal prep containers and comes in Black, Red and Pink. The Pro 45L comes in Black, Green and Khaki. Choose the Thermal if you carry food every day.

    Does a 45L backpack fit in a gym locker?

    Locker sizes vary too much for one answer. The pack is 20" tall and 12" wide and deep when full. Measure your locker opening before you buy. A half-full pack compresses, and the 180° opening lets you unload it in front of a small locker instead of forcing it in.
